Single-drum, tandem, pneumatic-tire rollers and backfill compactors for soil and asphalt. Compare operating weight, drum width and amplitude.
We hold 48 road roller models in stock, all new XCMG units, covering the full compaction chain: single-drum soil rollers, tandem double-drum rollers for asphalt, pneumatic-tire rollers for finish work, and backfill compactors for trench reinstatement. Operating weights run from small 1.7 t machines for footpaths and repair work up to the 36.5 t class for major earthworks.
Choosing between them comes down to what you are compacting. Granular subbase and fill want a heavy single-drum roller with high amplitude. Asphalt wants a tandem roller with dual frequencies and a working spray bar, so you can take break-down passes and finish cleanly. Pneumatic rollers are the final step on wearing courses, where the kneading action closes and seals the surface.
The XCMG XD series covers tandem asphalt rollers including the XD85T, XD90 and XD120EP. The XH and XT series single-drum machines — XH235, XH235L, XH285, XH285L, XH365 (Stage V) and XTG85 — handle soil and aggregate compaction. The XP series pneumatic rollers, including the XP165S and XP165U, are the units for finish passes on wearing courses.
Every roller is quoted FOB China or CIF to your destination port, with the full export document pack and the technical file your customs broker will ask for. New units ship with their factory documentation. Send Patrick your material type and required compaction depth and we will shortlist the right drum configuration.
Tandem double-drum rollers with water spray are the standard choice: they give you break-down, intermediate and finish passes from the same machine. Add a pneumatic roller for the final pass on wearing courses where you need a tight, sealed surface.
Match the drum to the width of your paving train. Too narrow and you need extra passes; too wide and you cannot work around drains, kerbs and manholes. Most contractors keep one wide machine for main runs and a smaller one for edges and reinstatement.
New units ship with their factory documentation and warranty guidance. Tell us your market and we will confirm the applicable terms with the manufacturer before you commit.
Padfoot shell kits and dedicated padfoot machines exist in the range. Send us the soil type you are compacting and we will confirm which units in stock suit cohesive fill.
