Hinge pin height at maximum lift is 4,554 mm on the standard linkage and 4,775 mm on the high-lift linkage; implement pump delivers 449 L/min at up to 34,300 kPa.

Cat Payload with Assist weighs every bucket in the cab so trucks leave at target load (not legal for trade). Autodig automates bucket filling, and Auto Set Tires reduces tire slip and wear; Caterpillar reports up to 10% more productivity than the previous Cat model with these two systems. Product Link telematics and Application Profiles are also standard.

Heavy-duty transmission and axles for extreme applications, full-flow hydraulic filtration with an additional kidney-loop filter to extend component life, and optional limited-slip differentials to reduce tire slip on loose ground.

Caterpillar states that extended fluid and filter change intervals reduce maintenance parts-and-fluids cost by up to 12%. Integrated Autolube, a one-piece tilting hood and grouped hydraulic and electrical service centers shorten service stops; with a Fusion quick coupler, buckets change without leaving the cab.
