Range-extended hybrid slipform paver for cement concrete pavement. 3,000–6,000 mm paving width, 300 mm maximum paving thickness, paving speed up to 25 m/min — five times the top-end speed of conventional diesel siblings (5 m/min ceiling). Working equipment driven by multiple electric motors with intelligent power tracking. Screed uses DC heating for zero-noise operation. 24,000–29,000 kg transport weight, 7,100 × 3,000 × 3,900 mm transit envelope. Suited where emission and noise constraints bind.

The XCMG XHT805HEV is a range-extended hybrid slipform paver for cement concrete pavement. Paving width 3,000 to 6,000 mm, maximum paving thickness 300 mm, paving speed up to 25 m/min — substantially higher top-end paving speed than the conventional diesel XHT605 and XHT605D siblings (5 m/min ceiling). Transport weight 24,000 to 29,000 kg, transit envelope 7,100 × 3,000 × 3,900 mm.

The hybrid powertrain uses a range-extender architecture — an internal combustion engine drives a generator that feeds traction and working-equipment motors, rather than mechanically driving the working circuits. Multiple motors control the working equipment, allowing intelligent power tracking that scales output to load instead of running the engine at fixed rated power. The screed uses DC heating, eliminating diesel-burner noise and improving heat conversion versus burner-heated systems.

Motor torque delivery enables smoother paving start and stop transitions than hydraulic-mechanical drive systems — a constraint that affects surface finish quality at speed and direction changes. Suited to cement concrete highway projects where lower job-site emissions, lower noise, and higher paving speed are project requirements. Choose over diesel siblings when emission or noise constraints bind.

Why This Machine

Product Features

Five aspects of the XHT805HEV that fit it to emission- and noise-constrained cement concrete paving work: range-extended hybrid architecture, intelligent power tracking, multi-motor working equipment, DC heated screed, and 25 m/min top-end paving speed.

01
Powertrain

Range-extended hybrid architecture — engine drives generator, not working circuits

Self-developed range-extender architecture. The internal combustion engine drives a generator feeding traction and working-equipment motors, rather than mechanically driving the paving and propel circuits. The engine can run at its efficiency sweet spot independent of working load, instead of tracking peak demands from screeding, tamping, and propel transients. Quick switching among multiple working modes.

02
Efficiency

Intelligent power tracking — avoids power redundancy

Power tracking scales engine output to instantaneous working load instead of running at fixed rated power. Conventional diesel-driven pavers run the engine at near-rated speed throughout the working cycle to keep hydraulic flow stable, generating power redundancy at low-load moments. The hybrid architecture decouples engine speed from working circuits, eliminating the redundancy and lowering fuel consumption at off-peak working conditions.

03
Drive

Multi-motor working equipment — torque per circuit

Working equipment uses multiple electric motors — one per major circuit rather than a shared hydraulic distribution from a single pump. Each motor delivers full torque to its own circuit, with instantaneous torque response enabling smoother paving start and stop transitions than hydraulic-mechanical drive. Surface finish quality at speed and direction changes — a known constraint in conventional drive systems — is the specific target of this layout.

04
Screed

DC heated screed — zero-noise operation, efficient heat conversion

Screed heating uses DC electric resistance instead of diesel-burner heating. Eliminates burner combustion noise from screed operation, reducing job-site noise emissions. Heat conversion is direct electric-to-resistance rather than combustion-to-heat-exchanger, with higher conversion efficiency and no exhaust at the screed. Relevant for urban municipal projects and night paving with noise restrictions.

05
Capacity

25 m/min paving speed — 5× the conventional-diesel ceiling

Paving speed up to 25 m/min — five times the 5 m/min ceiling of the conventional-diesel XHT605 and XHT605D siblings. The multi-motor architecture and instantaneous torque delivery support sustained paving at the higher speed without screed-finish degradation. 3,000–6,000 mm paving width and 300 mm maximum thickness fit standard highway and municipal cement pavement work. Choose XHT805HEV over diesel siblings when emission, noise, or paving-speed targets bind.
