RP355EP is XCMG's first electric product in the paver category — a clean-sheet electric drivetrain in the mini-paver class. Zero tailpipe emission and lower noise vs the diesel sibling RP355i (Kubota V3800) makes it specifiable for indoor sites, urban environmental zones, and projects with no-emission contract terms where diesel pavers are excluded.

94.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery delivers 3-3.5 hour paving runtime per full charge — covers a typical urban paving shift between fast-charge breaks. LFP chemistry chosen for thermal stability and cycle life over higher-density NMC chemistries. Battery sized to support both screed heating and propulsion load through a full continuous laydown section.

1 hour fast charge — urban DC charge pile compatible

Full recharge in 1 hour at a fast-charging station. Charger interface is compatible with urban DC charging piles — the paver charges from existing public urban EV infrastructure rather than requiring a dedicated site charger. Both fast and slow charging supported, so overnight slow-charge from standard utility supply is available where DC fast-charge is not.

Zero-emission site fit — indoor, urban, tourist, island

Specified for road surface milling-slot and gully backfilling, urban non-motorized lane construction, road work on islands and at tourist attractions, garden landscaping, community road and stadium construction, and indoor and height-restricted sites. Sibling positioning vs diesel RP355i and RP355

Same 3.2 m max width and roughly the same chassis footprint as the diesel RP355i (Kubota V3800, Stage V) and RP355 (Cummins QSF2.8, Stage III).
