Mechanical-drive variant (denoted by K suffix in the XLZ product code) — paired against the hydraulic-drive XLZ2303S sibling (S suffix). Choice between mechanical and hydraulic drive at the 2300 mm milling width / 430 mm depth class — pick mechanical for projects where the mechanical transmission profile and lower fluid system complexity fit the operating environment, pick hydraulic XLZ2303S for finer working-speed control.

1480 mm milling wheel diameter (with cutters) — 100 mm larger than the 1380 mm wheels on the hydraulic XLZ2103S, XLZ2303S, and XLZ2305S siblings. Same wheel diameter as the XLZ2305K mechanical variant. 200 cutting tools sized for full-width milling at the 430 mm depth rating.

Sized for upgrading work of old asphalt pavement: mixing of natural soil with filler, cement, and lime for mechanical and physical property improvement, and milling damaged asphalt or asphalt concrete pavement with thickness up to 250 mm. Same asphalt milling thickness rating as the XLZ2305K mechanical sibling — 67 percent higher than the 150 mm rating on the XLZ2103S, XLZ2303S hydraulic siblings.
