XCMG XC908-EV Electric Wheel Loader

Battery-electric drive eliminates tailpipe emission, eliminates diesel particulate filter maintenance, and cuts noise to motor-only levels. Eligible for sites where diesel compact loaders are restricted: indoor warehouse and factory work, mines with ventilation cost limits, urban municipal projects with night-time noise rules, port terminals near residential zones, and any project with low-emission-zone permit requirements.

Two separate electric motors — 12 kW for travel, 7 kW for hydraulics. Each system runs only when commanded, instead of an always-on diesel engine driving both. Reduces standby energy draw during pallet handling and stationary work cycles, and lets hydraulic boost run independent of travel speed.

0.4 m³ bucket and 800 kg rated load — same operating envelope as the diesel XC908HST sibling. Fleets standardizing on the XC908 chassis can mix EV and diesel units across the same job mix without changing attachments, training, or yard procedures. Pick the EV variant for emission-restricted sites and the HST for sites where diesel is unrestricted.

Specified for construction sites with emission restrictions, mines with ventilation cost limits where diesel loaders carry an extra air-handling burden, port terminals near residential zones, indoor warehouse and factory work, and municipal projects with night-time noise ordinances. Application range driven by where diesel is not allowed, rather than where it is preferred.

Built on the same XC9-series chassis as the XC908HST, XC916E, and XC918HST. Frame, axles, hydraulic cylinders, and attachment couplers share core part numbers across the line.
