XCMG XC8-S2570 Backhoe Loader

Side-shift rear backhoe layout — boom mount slides laterally on a frame to reposition the digging line without moving the machine. Sibling to the center-pivot XC8-C2570. Side-shift adds 600 kg over the C-variant (8,200 kg vs 7,600 kg) for the slide mechanism but allows the operator to dig close to walls, fences, foundations, and curbs by offsetting the boom — a fit for municipal trenching, sidewalk installation, and confined urban work where center-pivot machines need repositioning between cuts.

6,199 mm overall length is 1,141 mm shorter than the center-pivot XC8-C2570 (7,340 mm) — the side-shift configuration packs the rear boom assembly tighter on the chassis. Shorter wheelbase improves maneuverability in tight job sites and reduces trailer space requirement during inter-site relocation. 2,508 mm width × 3,682 mm height.

73.5 kW rated power — same engine class as the XC8-C2570 (73.5 kW) and XC8-S3570 (73.5 kW). Common service tooling and parts pool across the three larger XC8 machines. 1.0 m³ front loader bucket, 2,500 kg rated load on the loader, 0.2 m³ rear backhoe bucket — same loader spec as the center-pivot XC8-C2570.

Side-shift configuration makes the XC8-S2570 the XC8-series choice for municipal trenching along curbs, sewer and drainage repairs adjacent to existing walls, utility burial along sidewalks, and small contractor jobs in residential and commercial areas where job sites are constrained by buildings, fences, or street furniture. The C-variant suits open-site work; the S-variant suits work with obstacles.
