XCMG D260 (EU Stage III) Bulldozer

Powered by the SC9DF270G3 diesel — 199 kW (267 hp) at 2,200 rpm, EU Stage III emission certification. 12 kW higher rated power than the Stage I sibling D260 (Cummins NT855-C280 at 187 kW), running at 350 rpm higher rated speed. EU Stage III compliance opens markets where Stage I would not pass — Europe, parts of North America, and tightening-emission Asian markets.

3,200 mm minimum turning radius — 1,300 mm tighter than the Stage I variant (4,500 mm). Tighter maneuvering envelope suited to confined sites — urban demolition support, narrow road cuts, and tight equipment yards. Difference reflects updated steering control architecture in the Stage III variant.

Hydrodynamic (torque converter) transmission with electronically controlled gear shift. Limit-load control protects the powertrain under heavy push loads. Intelligent control on blade lift and tilt. Hydraulic pilot blade control reduces operator effort over long shifts. Same drivetrain architecture as the Stage I sibling — parts pool overlap on transmission components.

Ground pressure 64/59/54 kPa across the three blade configurations supplied. Wider blade configurations drop the per-blade contact pressure. Slightly lower than Stage I sibling (66 kPa) due to longer track frame. For consistently soft or swampy ground, the D260LGP wide-track variant (35-36 kPa) is the alternative.

Blade edges, ripper teeth, undercarriage components, and hydraulic seals share core part numbers with other 23-ton-class XCMG crawler dozers (D260 EU Stage I, D260LGP variants).
