XCMG XGL80E-6S Luffing-Jib Tower Crane

6-ton maximum lifting capacity at minimum radius, 1.6-ton tip load at the 40-meter maximum working range. 80 t·m rated lifting moment. Sized for residential and mid-rise housing construction, large venue projects, bridge pier and tower work, and equipment placement on nuclear and thermal power station construction sites.

Pivoting (luffing) jib design — the jib can be raised toward vertical when not in active lift. Frees rooftop airspace adjacent to other tower cranes, neighboring buildings, airport approach corridors, or property-line setbacks where a flat-top horizontal jib would intrude. Standard fit for dense urban construction sites with multiple tower cranes operating in proximity.

Free-standing operational height of 39.5 m without external tie-back. With climbing attachment to the building structure, total operational height reaches 135.5 m for mid-rise construction. The 400 m drum capacity is optimized for single-line and 2-part reeving configurations at typical mid-rise heights. For projects requiring higher line counts (3-part reeving and above) at maximum attached height, the sibling XGL80-6S provides a 420 m drum with extended reeving margin.

The 6S model inherits hydraulic and electrical control conventions from XCMG's truck crane line, applied to a tower crane platform. Operators familiar with mobile-crane controls have a shorter learning curve transitioning to the XGL80E-6S, and shared control philosophy simplifies cross-training across mobile and tower-crane crews on the same project.
