XCMG XC958U Wheel Loader

Leading model of the new XC9U series. The XC9U platform represents XCMG's refresh of the XC9 series with absorbed and introduced foreign design and manufacturing technology updates. Sits as the volume flagship in the 5-ton diesel class — typical fleet workhorse for production loading at quarries, aggregate yards, port stockpile transfer, and infrastructure work.

3.1 m³ bucket capacity, 5500 kg rated load, 168 kW rated power, 19400 kg operating weight. Production-class 5-ton sizing for typical aggregate, sand, gravel, and crushed stone loading cycles. Larger bucket than the XC956 (3.0 m³) and XC958 base (3.2 m³, lighter operating weight) in the same XCMG 5-ton class — sized for full-shift production duty.

8.72 m overall length, 3.00 m overall width, 3.48 m overall height, 3.35 m wheelbase. Same chassis class as the XC956 (8.23 m) and XC958E (8.27 m) — drop-in fleet substitution. 30 percent longer than the 7.6 m XC938 class but with 75 percent more bucket capacity (3.1 vs 1.8 m³).

Suited for general construction, aggregate yard work, port stockpile transfer, mining operations, and road construction. Broad 5-ton-class application range makes it a fleet workhorse for contractors with diverse project portfolios rather than vertical-specialized fleets in a single sector.
