Sized for direct European market entry without retrofit emission or compliance work. Distinct compliance profile from the sibling XC908HST and XC918HST which do not carry the same explicit Stage V/CE specification in the source data.

Articulated frame with full hydraulic steering — frame hinge in the middle, steering via hydraulic cylinders rather than mechanical linkage. Tighter turning circle than a rigid-frame loader of the same wheelbase; lower steering effort than mechanical-linkage loaders. Standard architecture for the European compact loader class but called out specifically in the XCMG XC916E source spec.

Quadruple pilot hydraulic system — four pilot lines for fine-modulated control of boom, bucket, and auxiliary functions. Forward-neutral-reverse (FNR) selector and gear shift combined into a single integrated handle, freeing the operator's other hand for joystick or auxiliary control. Cab layout reduces hand transitions on shuttle and load-and-carry cycles.

Working device uses a six-bar forward-rotating linkage rather than the simpler Z-bar or four-bar geometry. Six-bar geometry holds bucket angle closer to parallel through the lift cycle — reduces material spill on high-lift dumps and reduces pallet-fork pitch variation through the lift arc. Trade is more linkage components vs Z-bar; benefit shows up on attachment-heavy work.
